Emergency Comms, Sick Kitty

My kitty cat, Kimba who I've had for 10 wonderful years is very sick. I had taken him to the vet Friday night when he was showing signs of pain and didn't want me to touch him, which given his usually very friendly and cuddly behavior wasn't normal.
Since it was at around midnight, I had to take him to my local emergency veterinary clinic. They diagnosed him with a urinary blockage and decided to keep him for the next few days to see how he would do, i.e; a round of iv fluids, bloodwork, and a catheter.
He had and still seems to have a lot of blood in his urine and after switching him over to my preferred vet clinic who specialize in cats,
